"Lexington, Mass., March 30 (18??) - Funeral of Jonathan Harrington. The funeral solemnities of Jonathan Harrington, the last survivor of the Battle of Lexington, was celebrated today and were very imposing. The Governor, Lieut. Governor, Executive Council, and many members of both branches of Legislature were present. Eighteen military companies and several Masonic Orders were in the procession, and it is estimated that some 6,000 strangers were in the town. The ceremonies were generally of a Masonic character, the deceased having been a Mason. The Rev. George M. Randall, Grand Master of the Lodge of Massachusetts preached the funeral Sermon."
Jonathan Harrington was the grand-uncle of Francis Henry Thomson on his Mother's side. This passage was copied from the Bible owned by Lillie Thomson Ambos, given to her by Francis Henry Thomson, her grandfather. The Bible originally belonged to Lydia Ann Lockhart
