According to the Freedmens Bank Records, my ggg grandfather, Theophilus B. Gurney, was a methodist missionary living in Satilla Mills, GA. I think it was pretty close to Woodbine but I would like to know specifically where it was. Also if I could find any information on where he may have preached. He was from Maine and born in 1824.
