Hi Folks,
I have two corrections to make to this census transcription. The census enumerator of 1850 must have been hard of hearing, as he entered down at least two errors that I noticed when I examined the original 1850 census record sheet of the Peter Readdick family (eleven family members recorded).
The wife of Peter Readdick (aka Reddick) was named Allie, not Abby. She was Allie Agnes Wright Readdick.
Further, while the original census record describes their seventh child as an eight year old female named Frances - in actuality he was later known as Sergeant Frank Readdick. He served as a sergeant alongside his older brother Captain Jack Reddick. Both served with the CSA during the Civil War. There is a war memorial for both men. And in the 1860 census we see a 19 year old male named Francis, not a female named Frances.
