Hi Dorothy, I am famliar with the family that you've mentioned in your query. In researching for my husbands great grandfather's father, in Camden County, it was necessary for me to research all of those with the surname Clark in order to place them into the proper family. I and another researcher did as through of research as could have been done, finding numerous different Clark Family lines residing in Camden during the same period of time..begining prior to 1800 and several decades afterwards.

You may have seen this already, in fact, you may have found their names here, but I will post it just in case you haven't....Pulaski Co Deed Book "D" 11 Jan 1815-May 1816, P237
"On 1 Oct 1815 William Clark, David Clark and Elizabeth Clark of Camden Co appointed their beloved brother John Clark of Camden county, their attorney to take the action necessary to settle the estate of their deceased father, John Clark, Late of Pulaski Co"

And you are right in that we also found on the 1810 reconstructed census for Camden
One William, One John, One David. Jacobs William was b. c1787 of which I have no history of...Jacobs John was b. c1784 and appears to have md after 1810, was he head of hse hld in 1810, I can't be sure. But he didn't appear to have md. until c1814....and Jacob's David was not b. until 1817. Are you a descendant of David s/John? My husband who descends through William & Julia Miller Clark has provided his DNA as well as Burford Clark who is supposedly a descendant of Jacob Junior & his first unk wife's son Cader. My husband, Troy and Burford did not match. We DO NOT know for a certainty which one is of Jacob or perhaps neither one of us are. Burford does, however have a good paper trial and I believe has fairly good documentation to show their connection. Burford does match with a King family, which means that Clark is a King or King is a Clark?? I can be reached if you wish at mtnfarmdc@wvva.net for more on your query about the DNA Judy Clark
