I am helping a friend research his family in and around Berrien & Lowndes County 1900 through 1930. His grandfather was Caulie Thomas Knowles and his grandmother was Elma Maggie Mathis Knowles. 1930 census for Lowndes locates this family in Blanton Mills township in Lowndes County. Unable to locate in 1920-but 1910 census for Berrien County has Cauly Noles with right age-father W.D. Noles-mother L.E. Noles-Berrien County 1900 has William D. Knowles and wife Lucy E. Knowles-definitely same family as in 1910. Need information on this family if anyone recognizes this family. In 1930 the family of Caulie Knowles and his wife had 4 children including twins 1 1/2 years old.
