Margaret J. (Maggie) Allen is my great grandmother, by her second husband George A. Perkins. She died in 1891 in Gregg Co. TX her daughter, my grandmother, Georgia Virginia Perkins, was 14 months old. My grandmother, known as Virgie, was raised by the brother of George Perkins, Jessie Allen Perkins and his wife. Maggie's first husband was William A. Bell and they are on the 1880 Gregg Co. census with her parents Asa and Maggie Allen, and their infant daughter Ella.
