Probate Records for Florida Pioneer

Classification: Query
Surnames: Hooker, Pearce, Prevatt
I'm looking for (proof) of my last link for a Florida Pioneer -- name James Tarpley Hooker (dob 1804, dod 1836) serviced (and died due to wounds) in the 2nd Seminole War. Married Racheal Prevett in 1828; and married Sara Ann Pearce in 1833, Columbia County, FL. Had two daughters with Racheal (Elizabeth and Caroline); and three sons with Sara (William Pearce, James Wesley, and Stephen John Levi Hooker).

I was passed down research notes saying "In 1844 Eliz. B. and Caroline Matilda were made wards of grandfather James D. Prevat", though I am unsure where this information came from.

The 1850 census all three boys are still with Sara.
I need to proof James Wesley is a son of James Tarpley for the Florida Pioneer program. I have been looking for Probate records but have been unlucky so far in my search.

Any help &/or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!
