Just picked up your post while searching - again - for Thomas and Melissa Johnson Miller. They are my g-grand parents. My gf was James Bryant Miller. I have a good bit of data on Tom & Melissa's descendants but a brick wall on both their ancestors.

I guess you're Bud's granddaughter?

Since I emailed you last night you realize that I did not receive your email from a year ago.

I just went to your postings on Thomas Miller and Melissa. I've done a project on them the past couple of months and have a pretty good line now. Seems like there was a weak link with Thomas' father, Ezra, but I'm past that now, I THINK.

Rumor is strong in my family that Melissa had indian blood. I think it may have been Thomas's mother rather than wife. Know anything about the indian hertiage?

BTW, my mother spoke of the Sundays several times. I think she was close, as a girl, with someone in your family. Her name is Dorothy Miller, b 1919, d. 2006.

You mention that your g-grandparents were Thomas Miller & Melissa Johnson. I have an interest in Melissa. Her father was Bryant Johnson (married to Sarah?). Find him (with daughter Melissa and other family members) on the 1850 & 1860 Covington County, AL censuses. He was born about 1815 in GA. On the 1850 census, he is only a few households away from William and Polly Johnson. I feel sure that William and Polly were my ggg-grandparents. Would love to chat. These Johnsons are a BEAR to figure out!!
