Trying to locate information on the Allen Family
that lived in Ellaville.

My great grandfather Williamson was born there
Sept. 1889. His father was John M. Allen, John's
father was Miles Allen. Miles wife's name was Lizzie
Bishop Allen.

Miles and Lizzie came from Alabama.

Any and I mean any information would be

I did find a WW1 draft reg. for Williamson Allen
most likely you have this info... just passing along

Born 9/19/1889 in Ellaville,Taylor, FL

In the 1910 Westlake, Hamiliton co. Fl census
William Allen born FL... both parents born in FL


do you have a guess of dates for John M. Allen, or his parents Mile adn Lizzie Allen of Alabama.

Do youknow of any siblingsof John M. Allen?
Or even of Williamson Allen?

Miles born 1830 and married Lizzie Bishop Alabama.

Miles and Lizzie's children,

John 1856
William Thomas 1862
Melissa J. 1860

I know one of John's sons was my great grandfather Williamson A. Allen
he was married to James Calhoun Gray, Dec. 14 1914. I have all of their children.

Any help or information you can find I would most great full.

Well, I found info on all listed except for Lizzie with Williamson.

The only two records are a 1910 Westlak, Hampton, FL census where Williamson is 21 yrs old, and is a border

the other is the WW1 draft record showing his birth as Sept. 19 1889, born in Ellaville, Fl. in Taylor co.

No death records, no census.... do you know when/where he died?

No it wasn't a typo. Yes her name is James Calhoun Gray.
Long story short, she was suppose to be grandfathers son.
Lost the stem to the apple. haha. So thats what they named her.

After he died she remarried a David Davis Woodard, then when
he died she married a James Dann

Grandfather died Jan 12, 1929, he is buried in
Jasper Florida Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery.
