I am looking for infomation on a family, last name HOGARTH. I know nothing about his family other than they had 2 daughters, the oldest one named Evelyn. This family took in my grandfather, Otto Milledge HALL, for 4 years when he ran away from home. I was told my grandfather worked in a furniture factory, so the HOGARTH male could have worked there too. This was around the dates of 1919-1925. Please email me if you have any information about the HOGARTH family or my grandfather.

I think you are looking for information on a GEORGE HOGARTH. He had a daughter Evelyn and a daughter named Effie. Evelyn never married but Effie married a Long. They were all in the Clay County and Putnam County area. My wife's grandmother was a HOGARTH but distantly related to George but my wife knew the family. I know nothing else to tell you but that is a starting point. Check the Clay County Marriage records and it may be there. Good luck.

And he probably worked at Florida Furniture Industries which was located in Palatka, Florida [Putnam County]. It was owned by the Gardner, Tanner, and Rion families for many years. It just went out of business about 5 yrs ago. The main factory and offices were located on River Street.

You might contact the Putnam County Historical Society or the Chamber of Commerce if you need more info.
