could you please tell me your g-g-grandfather's name, Rachael's husband? Her sons have the same names as my grandfather's brothers, but their last name was Harvey, and their mother married a John Hall when their Dad died in Palatka, they're buried in Etoniah Cemetery.

We are not certain as to Rachael's husband's name but suspect that it is James Hall. She and children were in Irwin Co., GA prior to 1860 when they had moved to Hamilton Co., FL. She was b.c. 1805 in GA.
Please e-mail me and I'll supply you with a report on this family.

i am from the gorum side of the family and i am doing exactly what you are trying to accomplish. the information that i have is that sandford v. gorum was born in chester co sc in 1801 and Elender was also born in sc in 1798. Chester was the son of Harivin Gorum who was born in 1770 and dies in 1850. He married some one named ann harbin who was the daughter of william harbin, sr. who lived from 1751 to 1814. and he was married to alice willet(?) (see the willett family of maryland [book]) who was from Prince George Co. MD. and Harvin was the son of SAnford Gorum who was born in 1719 and dies in 1772 and he also was married to an ann. who lived from 1728 - 1778. i don't know if this will help.
