FRED MCLAUGHLIN was arrested and jailed on Wednesday-on a charge of beating his wife under a warrant sworn out by his Father-in-law JV CURRY. He is unable to give bond and is still in jail. The Trial is set for Wednesday in the County Judges Court.

The MCLAUGHLIN wife beating case was tried before a jury in the County Judges Court of Friday-last and ended in an acquittal of the Prisoner. County Attorney JN Taylor prosecuted and WJ Sears defended.
