Cubans in Key West, pre-1880

Hello,

I found a list of Cuban immigrants to Key West pre-1880. It is on the Monroe County genealogy website.

I believe that my gr-gr-grandfather, Jose de la O Rivero, is on that list. I would like to learn more information about that list. Does any know who compiled it, and what additional information I could obtain from it?

Thanks!

Pete Genova,
St. Pete, FL

Hello Pete,
I think we may have connected a few years back when I had a different e-mail. You inquired about a possible connection of Rivero's. I am descended from Pedro Rivero and Maria Carlota Rivero (nee Roche or Roque). Her grandfather was Julian Roche(?) and her mother was Manuela Noguera(?).My grandparents were both born in Key West(that's questionable). Could you send your line again and I'll try making a connection? Connie
