The 2 families and their children migrated to Barbour County, AL and were there 1834-1847. Elijah HAYS d. there 1845 and his children remained there or relocated to the panhandle of FL except for Robert William who accompanied Arthur LEE and his family in 1846 to Marion Co. [now Sumter Co.] in central FL. Arthur’s children, Evander & John Calvin founded and named Leesburg, FL. Robert William HAYS’ son, George Franklin HAYS named Webster, FL.
