Searching in Jefferson County for dates of death for
Levi Harris and his wife Dorothy Bozeman Harris.
She probably died sometime between 1831-1841
Also looking for any info on Tamzy Harris, born about 1832
and MV Harris who was a year younger than Tamzy.
Thanks

Jefferson Co., FL Marriage Bk A, p. 5 is the marriage of Levi Harris to Dorothy Bozeman on 29 Dec 1831. Also there is a marriage in Bk A, p. 24 between a Levi Harris and Rebecca Brown on 20 Jan 1841. I found no evidence of a Tamzy Harris or an MV Harris. Are these male or female and what does the MV stand for and is Tamzy a nickname?

I have the name of an Elizabeth Bozeman Connected with Jefferson County. I show her married to a Dennis Powell (3/30/1831-12/16/1913) but no dates for the woman. I also show she had 12 children, among them Buddy(possibly a nickname for a Junior)Powell my ggfather born in 1880. Perhaps she was a relative of the Dorothy you seek

I also am in search of Bozeman family members. There seem to be many Elizabeth Bozeman's. I have a small book called Sketches of the Bozeman family. It start's in about 1730 and ends in 1885. There are many names included, I would be happy to look up any name you need to see if there is any information on it. I also, just today, found the names of my great Aunt's & Uncles on the Bozeman side. This is probably not the branch you need, but, what I have so far is Minnie L. Bozeman, born in Walton county Fla., Her mother was Mary elizabeth Lindsey, the father was Andrew Lee (Ander) Bozeman. I have ordered the film for records of Mary Elizabeth's mother & father. Oh - Minnie Bozeman was married to Robert Brooks. If you have any info on this part of the Bozeman or Brooks family, please let me know, or if you can use any of the info I have collected.
Thanks, Shirley

Shirley,
You're right. I don't have information on a Minnie but I do have 2 Elizabeths now. I have an Elizabeth Bozeman b1839 and married a Dennis Powell of Jefferson County. They had 12 little Powells. I have just received information on her ancestry. Elizabeth's parents were Jacob Nathan Bozemen and Catharine Cain. Jacob Nathan's siblings were Dorothy, DAvid, Samuel, James R., Mary Ann, Celia, and another Elizabeth. Jacob's parents were Luke Bozeman and Betsy Ward. These Bozemans also include Dooly Co. as part of their backgroud. Does this help? My only link is Elizabeth.

Connie, I would like to email you directly, but you address is not posted.
My brick wall with the Bozeman family is when Minnie married my grandfather, R.A. Brooks. I have a copy of their marrige registration if 1911, but he is only listed as R.A.
According to the cencus, he was from Georgia. She also married Darnell in 1914, also in Holmes county. Do you have any Brooks or Darnel info? I would be happy to share what I have if you need it.
