I know for sure that his cousins James Lloyd Quinn, Barbara Annette Quinn (Mushaud I think is the guy's last name she married. Maybe mispelled) and my dad's uncle Floyd Martin Quinn.

There may be others there like my dad's Floyd Martin Quinn Jr. living there but I am not sure. My dad hasn't talked to them in years.

If anyone knows them or has any way of contacting them please then let me know. I am trying to gather information about the family.
Ken: The Navy or the federal government has nothing on our Naval Air Station because when they packed up and left, the secretary took it all. It was found on Ebay and I was able to purchase all of it. We have published a book and erected two markers at the Vero Beach Airport in memory of those pilots who died during night training. The surname is familiar and I will look it up when I get back to work on Monday.

My uncle, Anton JANUSCHEITIS, was the gunner and crew chief on a Navy Avenger torpedo bomber. He was stationed at the Jacksonville NAS, but could have been at one of the satellite stations that made-up the Jacksonville NAS area. He was killed in an airplane crash on 18 Oct 1944 that occurred "approximately 8 miles west of Fellsmere, Fla in rural Indian River County." I am trying to find any and all information related to this event. The Navy cannot find records related to this crash. Interestingly, the next day NAS Jacksonville hosted about 1,700 people taking refuge from a large hurricane that struck that area on 19 Oct 1944. I am speculating that weather may have played a role in the crash and/or possibly a new spotlight training course that just opened for training on 8 Oct 1944. He had been in the Navy since early 1942, and had already served in the Aleutians for a couple years before being transferred to Florida to train new personnel.

Any and all information or leads would be greatly appreciated.

Rose:
I work at the library and I can tell you that we have an extensive collection of records, documents and photographs. The cemetery book was published by the Indian River Genealogical Society in 1987. Anna and Aden (Abend?) are both buried in Crestlawn Section A. There is a Dovie A. and John W. Baker that is buried in Winter Beach. The KING and BAKER families are early pioneers of this county. Please contact me at the library if you should need more information. pcooper@indian-river.lib.fl.us
Pam

I have worked for Creative tile and flooring for 13 years, my boss the new owner of the company has been having me work as I do any type of work concerning floors and keeping parts of my commission and docking my pay. He does this to give paychecks to his wife and daughter whom does not even work at the store. I quit this morning after working over 45 hours and coming home with a $200 paycheck I wish there was a way for the government or district of florida to review his records and see this is a currupt owner of a well known store whom not only rapes his customers for their money but also does the same to his associates to get his. His name is Dave Wonka, and if looking for him he may be on vacation as he is every other week. I dont know what to do, I have also obtained unreversable back injuries from working with the company for 13 years and have received no kind of pension or seniority. PLEASE SOMEONE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was wondering if anyone on this list could help me w two lookups in the Vero Beach area.

I am looking for the obits of James Russell Rorabaugh, dod Oct. 17, 2003 in Vero Beach, and that of his wife,
Juanita A. Rorabaugh, dod March 16, 2005, also in Vero Beach. Juanita was a descendant of our McClellan line from Wellborn, FL.

If anyone could help w these obit lookups, I would greatly appreciate the help!

Jacqi
P.S. I saw in an old post that an address at the library could be emailed for obit lookups, but when I tried it, it didn't go through on several attempts; later I read another post giving the librarian's direct email addy, but when I tried that, it also wouldn't go through...maybe they are old addresses, I don't know. At any rate, my apologies for posting an obit lookup request to the list, but the other addresses don't seem to be working.

It was listed because it contained information that may be helpful to anyone looking for family in Florida.

I would appreciate assistance in making sure the listing is accurate and complete and especially if more information exists online that I am unaware of.

Please send me corrections and additions to T42@MyCemeteries.com or just reply here.
(Allen Wheatley)

Re: Tyner,Grady Wilson b 2 May 1919 d 6 May 1998

Hi, Grady Wilson Tyner was my father. He married my mother Anna Reese Spinks just before going off to WWII as a Marine in the Pacific. I was born in Ft. Pierce in 1938. He was a handsome high school football star, and she was a beauty queen. He returned from WWII and they divorced, but I spent summers with him in Ft. Pierce at my grandparents house on Okeechobee Road. He and his brother Ernie of Stuart worked for many years as distributors for the Miami Herald for the Vero Beach, Ft. Pierce, Stuart area, initiating the local sections with the Treasure Coast section. He also coached football, and was a sheriff for St. Lucie County. He remarried and had two sons who I believe still live in Ft. Pierce. We were estranged in 1956. Contact me if you want more information. I would love to hear of any other research you have done on the family.
