Mr Theodis Leath, age 77 of Noma, passed away Wednesday, Oct 28, 1998 at his residence. Mr Leath served as a Steward of St Mark A M E Church, Superintendent of the Sunday School, a member of the Masonic Lodge and a volunteer of community service with Meals on Wheels.

Funeral services were held on Nov 2 at St Marks A M E Church in Noma with the Rev Nellie Graham Parkers, the Rev Laura Holloway and the Rev Reba Sorey officiating.

Burial followed in the Leath Family Cemetery in Columbia, Alabama with Cooper Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include wife: Allie V Leath of Noma; daughter: Elizabeth Wilkerson of Jacksonville; step-daughter: Marjorie BeBose; sons and daughters-in-law: Waymon and Gwendolyn Leath of Augusta, Georgia, Samuel and Jeanette Leath and Charles Leath, all of Columbus, Ohio; sisters: Shellie L Ward and Jo Anna Jackson, both of Norma, and Lillie Jackson of Portsmouth, Virginia; 28 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and many other nieces, nephews, cousins, sisters-in-law; brothers-in-law and other relatives and friends.
