From the April 28, 1994 issue of the Tampa Tribune:

"ROBERT J. 'PAT' PATTERSON, 78, of Tampa died Tuesday at University Community Hospital. A native of Carbondale, Ill., he moved to Tampa in 1946 from Pennsylvania. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Temple Terrace. He is survived by his wife, Elaine; two sons, Robert Jr. of Gainesville, Ga., and David of Atlanta; a daughter, Barbara Ammirati of Temple Terrace; a sister, Margaret Patterson of New Smyrna Beach; and five grandchildren. Neptune Society of St. Petersburg."
