btw, as a FYI, I did find yesterday a marriage record on Ranzy Cornley to a Lennis Adams in Gulf County in 1935. He married again in 1944 in Bay County. So it is possible both of these people married, divorsed and remarried. But I've yet to find a marriage record for Ransy & George. Oh well.
Anneta
Okay, I found Ranzy Cornley married to Lennes Adams in Gulf Co, FL in 1935. SO now I am not sure about this being the same person, unless she married twice. That's always possible. Thanks for the lead!

There is a record of a Ranzy Cornley that married in Gulf County. I do not have access to the year or groom's name. Maybe someone with Ancestry privleges will give those to you. You could always contact The Clerk of The Court in Gulf County and ask them.
Good Hunting,
Frank

My grandmother had a couple of sisters & half sisters, one I have never been able to find any information on. Her name may have been spelled Ranzy or Ransy, not sure. She was born about 1917 somewhere either in Holmes, Walton, Washington, or even Bay county. The last census record of her family was in 1945 Gulf County, FL....but she was not listed. Someone years ago thought she married a Bryant, but again, can't find any evidence of such. IF there is anyone out there who might know what happen to her, etc., would love to hear from you. Her maiden name was Carnley, but the census records spelled it Conley, Conly, Carnly. Thanks in advance.
Anneta
asim0908@knology.net

I remember Emmette and lois well on our visits to Tell City, IN in the early 70's. They were great people. I did not know Emmette remarried, Aunt Pat never talked about that.
Emmette was the son of Ludie Shiver and J.F. Daniell (Frank). Ludie and and Frank are buried in Holly Hill Cemetery in Port St.Joe. Emmette had 4 sisters that I know of Gladys (She married a McCoy and then a Kaplan), Mamie Lou, (married a Bradley, Dare, and Smith, I think she may have married one other as well, Chauncey Smith was her last husband.), Nella Dean, (she married a Bruce and lived in Kingsland Georgia,) and Margaret (She married Ralph Shirah).

He had 3 brothers that I know of Johnny, James, and Arnold. For some reason the name Horace comes to mind too.

I don't remember much about Lois's family except she had a sister named LaRue. I think both Emmette and Lois were born in Thomas County Georiga.

Pat Daniell married Ken Kanneberg and had 4 children , Keith, Mark, Cathy, and Matthew.

Lois Chastain Daniell was the the epitome of a Southern lady. She played the organ at the Baptist church, and taught piano lessons. She also made the best pound cake I have ever had!! She was so sweet and nice. She and Emmette had one of the best lawns in town and had the nicest rose garden. Growing up next to them was the best.

How are you related to them? I may can come up with some other info.

Thanks,
David
I have made an attempt to locate places on the internet where cemetery information is available. The Gulf County page is on MyCemeteries.com Florida page http://mycemeteries.com/USAFL.htm

Please do not be upset if a cemetery is misspelled or is otherwise inaccurate from your viewpoint. It was listed because it contained information that may be helpful to anyone looking for family in Florida.

I would appreciate assistance in making sure the listing is accurate and complete and especially if more information exists online that I am unaware of.

Please send me corrections and additions to T42@MyCemeteries.com or just reply here.
(Allen Wheatley)

You are welcome, and yes, it did come from Ancestry...

I did look in the 8th, 9th of July 1948 paper to see if there was anything else on his accident, but nothing. You may want to try the Panama City paper, although it is not online yet, they do have it on microfilm at the Bay County Public Library; you could search those days immediately after his accident. Shouldn't be too hard, unless you live a long ways away... then again, you could post a message on the Bay County board and maybe someone could do a look up for you.

Sorry I got his name wrong, Cary Thomas, not Gary-- sometimes they are hard to read.

Judi

Over the years I have lost contact with him, The last I knew he was married to a woman named Wilma and they were still living in the area of Port St. Joe/ The Beaches. When his stepfather Floyd Babb passed away the obit stated that Ray lived in "The Beaches". My reason for contacting him is to let him know about his niece. Ray had a very special nickname for my daughter and they were very close when she was little. I thought he might like to know he should be very proud of how she has grown up.
Terri

Looking for Great Aunt Bertha Kidwell Gray!!!

I know that Florida is a large state, but I'm still searching for my great aunt Bertha Kidwell Gray.

I know that Bertha lives with her daughter and family somewhere in Florida. Bertha's parents were Charles and Nora Belle Pennell who were married in Cumberland Maryland in 1904. Bertha had many brothers and sisters including my grandfather Earl Kidwell Sr. Her only living sibling is Leroy, who resides in Ohio.

Before moving to Florida to live with her daughter, she was from Pennsylvania and still has a son living there. Bertha has also gone blind - which I fear is hereditary though irrelevant. Bertha's late husbands name is James Gray.

This is as much information that I can possibly provide. My Kidwell family claims to not know how to contact her. I'm 29 years old and as my oldest living relative, I would love to get the wonderful chance to get to know her before it's too late.

Please reply if you have any information. THANKS!

I am not sure whether Wewa was considered Gulf or Calhoun County at that time.

I am actually hoping to find descendants of the daughters in hopes that they may be able to shed more light on the ancestors. I am finding that information given me from family seems to keep coming up incorrect. Not that that isn't good. :-) I was told that Savannah? may have been named for the town in Georgia in which she or a parent grew up. I don't have names of her parents. Daughters names of elder Thomas and Savannah are: Lizzie b. 1898, Jessie, b. 1904, Lottie b. 1905

Any information regarding either the Millirons or Vann Families will be greatly appreciated. Am willing to trade information.

Thanks,
Kimberly Clark
k_clark59@hotmail.com

As of today, I have aquired quite a bit of information on many Millirons and Vann families in Georgia. Not all of my son's ancestry but I have and will keep the information to help others. I have found several ancestors in Georgia for both Thomas Jackson Millirons and Savannah Vann and will be happy to share information with their descendants as well as others.

Kim
Kansas City, MO
