I am from out of state and know next to nothing about Trenton, but I am wondering if there is a public library there with some genealogical records and if some kind person could find some death dates for me from cemetery records or something. I can have death records searched in Jacksonville IF I know the death year. I am looking for the death dates of WILLIAM W MEEKS and MELISSA MEEKS, both who died sometime after 1930. I will be glad to reimburse you for your trouble.

Hello, I am reda Alexander. I have Register lineage as well. It is so hard to figure them all out. What I have figured out is, the namesake was given to the next generation. Either William, Thomas, and John, John not so much as the other 2. Around the Bostwick and Palatka area, the Registers married into the williams family. Hi. I know this is an old post so I probably shooting in the dark, but... My grandfather is R.E. Trail mentioned in this thread and we spent today visiting Mt. Horeb and talking about most of the people mentioned here and we discussed the fact that he unfortunately does not know where the grave of his 1-yr old brother, JR, is located. I am going to attempt to start a family tree and would love any more information on the Randalls, Dees, Roberson, etc. I would also love to share what I have with you when it is completed. Do you have info on Minnie Lee Conner? My Great Uncle Son Odell Elce Smith married a Minnie Lee Conner in Gilchrist Co.in 1934. Odell Elce (known as Elec) is buried in Wayfair Cem. I am trying to find her family and I am trying to locate Smith family. I know nothing about her family. I know that in the 1935 She is in Gilchrist living with the Smith family. She was about 15 at that time. Odell was abt 17. I know they lived in Bell. I have a copy of an envelope that had the post mark Bell. I also know that in the 1935 Gilchrist Co census that the Father J L Smith was married to a Nancy Lorena Cruse. She had 2 Smith children with him that I know of. Lorena ended up divorcing J L Smith in 1945 and married a Ernest Armstrong in 1948. Do you have any information on these People? Thank you

I am decended from William S. Townsend born 1814. (He had a brother John that migrated with him) I know they were either born in SC or GA. They could have been born in SC and migrated to GA with their family ... but ended up migrating to Colorado Co, TX, from one or the other states. From the history of that era I have found where they were related to the Townsends that migrated from SC to GA to FL, but had never met them. So we are connected thru these cousins, but I dont know the family names. It could be that they are decendent from Thomas Townsends brother? I have no information that can help me connect them exactly where. Any help would be a blessing... Susan

Yes, I still check my post...but never have found any link to speak of. I believe that my William S and brother John Townsend were born either in SC or GA. I am certain they are related to the decendents of "Jack" Townsend that migrated to GA from SC then to Florida, as "Jacks" decendents migrated to Colorado Co Tx. My Townsend brothers came from SC or GA, and it is noted in some of their history that they were related to these other Townsend brothers but had never met. Checked the listing at Find-a-Grave for Jennings Lake. Seems you might have missed my grandfather and grandmother. Richard Baxter Sanders and Effie Lee Hunt Sanders. They have a flat double stone with the other Sanders close to the main road. Next to their son Allen Mason Sanders and daughter Corrie. I sure would be interested in your photo project. John H. Sanders was his father and A. W. Sanders [Allen Wiggin] was the grandfather. Thanks for your great work.

As I said my ggrandma was annie harper ggrandpa was james. My grandma was Katie. My mom was Annie Mae.I found out that Annie Harpers maiden name was Dees. I have a picture of the Harper family, dont know where it was taken but have found out all the names. I have copies if you want to give me an address to send you one. We got it from my Aunt Dink before she died.We are meeting my fathers family in Steinhathee in a couple of weeks to find out more of their history hopefully. Nice to hear from family I did not know. My Great Grandparents are james and annie as well. My grandfather was William Mallie Harper, and grandmother was Lessie Mae Roberson. My mother is Rosalee Harper. I have been looking for more information on the harper & roberson side of the family! :)

Which Townsend do you descend from?
I am descended from Stephen Townsend, one of the 7 brothers that came to Texas. There father and mother were Thomas Townsend and Elizabeth Stapleton. They started out in SC and moved to GA then FL and finally TX from 1831-1838.

I have also located them on the Florida state census in 1935. I have located a few marriages and graves for the family but am unsure if they are correct. Looking for Great Aunt Bertha Kidwell Gray!!!

I know that Florida is a large state, but I'm still searching for my great aunt Bertha Kidwell Gray.

I know that Bertha lives with her daughter and family somewhere in Florida. Bertha's parents were Charles and Nora Belle Pennell who were married in Cumberland Maryland in 1904. Bertha had many brothers and sisters including my grandfather Earl Kidwell Sr. Her only living sibling is Leroy, who resides in Ohio.

Before moving to Florida to live with her daughter, she was from Pennsylvania and still has a son living there. Bertha has also gone blind - which I fear is hereditary though irrelevant. Bertha's late husbands name is James Gray.

This is as much information that I can possibly provide. My Kidwell family claims to not know how to contact her. I'm 29 years old and as my oldest living relative, I would love to get the wonderful chance to get to know her before it's too late.
