does anyone know who keeps the records
for this cemetery

such as a plot map

i have a relative burried there 1923 without
any kind of marker
would like to locate grave and have a headstone
placed there

thanks so much for your reply
i spoke with a mrs osteen on the phone
not sure if its the same osteen's
but she told me that there is not any records
of where people are burried

i was trying to locate the grave of a one year old
boy
his brother knows that he was burried there
and his parents charley and janie trail
are also burried there they have headstones
but never put one on the babys

several family members burried there
dees randall trail osteen

i am also trying to find out info on them
if you live in the area and are familiar with
any of them i would greatly appreciate any info
you could give

What Osteens are you looking for. There are a lot of Osteens
in the cemetery. Actually I am related to most of them. Did you
live here. I was a Aderholt. Let me know what Osteens and I will
see what I can do for you. Most of my close family is also buried
at Mt. Horeb.I also knew some Trails. Growing up, I worked in
tobacco with some of them. Right now I can't think of their names
but I will.

My grandpa was william robert dees
he was the son of mamie and wash dees
born 1925 in bell
he had a twin brother named james washington dees
james,mamie and wash are burried at mt horeb

he also had 3 other brothers and one sister
william joseph dees
malachi dees
larce dees
mary jane dees

the parents of wash dees is what im trying to find out
as far as family history

mamie died 2 wks after she had the twins
and wash died 3 years later

so my grandpa didnt know who his daddys family
was

mamie also had a brother luther randall
he and his wife are at mt horeb too

the osteens really only related by marriage

robert randall burried at mt horeb is the father of
mamie

his sister mary was married to sim osteen

also susan missouri randall is burried there mamies
mother

her mother nancy was married to albert osteen
and albert is burried there


mamies sister janie and her husband charley
trail is there

they had a son named r.e. trail
born in bell too


i didnt grow up there but alot of my family did
i have been to the cem and made pictures and
looked around

Surnames: trail, randall, dees, roberson
Hi. I know this is an old post so I probably shooting in the dark, but... My grandfather is REE. Trail mentioned in this thread and we spent today visiting Mt. Horeb and talking about most of the people mentioned here and we discussed the fact that he unfortunately does not know where the grave of his 1-yr old brother, JR, is located. I am going to attempt to start a family tree and would love any more information on the Randalls, Dees, Roberson, etc. I would also love to share what I have with you when it is completed.
