Wendy,
In one of your postings you mentioned Joe Mott. Was he related to Virginia Mott? I am the great-granddaughter of Virginia Mott and Shep Cribbs. My grandmother was the sister of Maggie Cribbs Corbin and her name was Emma. If you need any information on Emma's family, I can provide it...the progeny, not the ancestry. I know Thelma and knew Elmo (the daughter of Patsy Simpson). Would love to hear from you about Joe Mott.
Thanks! Frances

Hi,

I am Great neice of Virginia Mott. My Grandfather, William L.
Mott was her brother. I would love to share information, especially if you know anything about Virginia and William's parents, Elijah and Eliza Jane "Cannon" Mott. I know they were listed in the 1880 Lafayette Census and Eliza Jane became Eliza Jane Lord, apparently remarrying to a George W. Lord. I am also cousin to your Emma Cribbs Davis. I often visited in her home when Aunt Jenny was still alive. The parents and Grandparents of Virginia Cribbs Mott and my Grandfather, William L. lived in Eugene, Fl. which was Lafayette Co. until 1920, when it became Dixie. I also believe Eliza Jane Cannon may have been from Levy County, but can't prove it, yet. Thanks for your reply and hope to hear from you again.

Wendy,
In this posting you mentioned "Boy" and "Herbert" who live in Old Town. Are they Corbins or Motts? I am interested in finding out who all the children of Wesley and Maggie Corbin are. So far, I have these: Willard, two daughters whose names I don't know, and "Boy". Some other names that came up in your posting were "Helen", "Wilmer", "Mattie", and "Lottie". How are they connected?
Thanks for any information you can give me. Let me know if I can help you in any way also. I am the granddaughter of Emma Cribbs, the sister of Maggie Corbin.
You can contact me at francesenglish@yahoo.com.

Ok I really should check these boards more often. I have info on the Simpson family of Old Town. I am Samuel Simpson grandson via his relationship with Gladys Wood. Samuel married Sarah Tindel. He is the son of Richard Simpson and Patsy Osteen. I am currenly at a block with his mother Susan ? and I do not have a clear lock on who is father was. Would love to learn more about Richards children, their desendants. I will be more than happy to exchange what I know.
