I was born in Coral Gables, Fl in 1954.

Birth mother consealed pregnancy from family. She was not married. She had an older brother in construction and a younger brother (13 years old). She lived at home with her younger brother, father and mother. Birth mother was employed as a switchboard operator. She would be 73 years old if alive today. Father was a line man for the telephone company in Coral Gables at that time (Southern Bell?)
Birth mother's mother had bouts of depression and was once institutionalized.

Birth mother signed me over with consent on day three after my birth to my adoptive parents specifically. Birth mother's name is on birth Florida Adoption Registry information. Birth fther's name is not mentioned for birth mother did not want it known. Only knew one another a year. He was in the military. Birth mother told birth father of pregnancy but he did not wish to marry.

If anyone out there who worked for the phone company (retired), maybe my birth mother confided in you about her pregnancy. She had considered abortion but decided to go full term.
