Andrew (De)Branning (1775-1828) is my 4th great grandfather.(through George W Sr./Thomas Jessup) I understand he was born in Ireland and when immigrating to America the ship went down off the coast of NC. His mother and brother drown, but he (age 1) and his father survive. Who is his father? I have searched, but come up empty. He was born in the 1750s, I assume in Ireland. This assumption could very well be the problem. Maybe Andrew's father is from elsewhere, England perhaps. Also, where in Ireland was Andrew born? Any information would be appreciated.
