WENDORF, LAVERNE Y., 86, of Homosassa, died Friday (Feb. 4, 2000) at home. Born in Crandon, Wis., she came here 24 years ago from Manitowoc, Wis., and was a retired waitress. She was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. Survivors include two sons, Patrick Higgins, Homosassa, and Michael Wendorf, Oshkosh, Wis.; a daughter, Kathy Bourbon, Homosassa; 16 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Wilder-Fountains Funeral Home, Homosassa Springs.

Patrick 'Pat' Higgins, 68 Homosassa

Patrick Thomas "Pat" Higgins, 68, Homosassa, died Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2003, at his residence under the care of his family and Hospice.

He was born Dec. 19, 1935, to Eugene Higgins and Laverne Bouvat Wendorf, and moved to Homosassa 25 years ago from Dallas.

He was a retired electronics manager for Wal-Mart of Homosassa.

Mr. Higgins was Catholic.

Survivors include five daughters, Pamela Diaz, Terri Switzer and Toni Higgins, all of Milwaukee, Wis., Debra Anderson of Dallas, Texas, and Michelle Andrews of St. Cloud; one brother, Michelle Wendorf of Oshkosh, Wis.; one sister, Kathleen Bourbon of Homosassa; and eight grandchildren.
