Thomas Harvey
Rogers, 71, Arcadia, died Dec. 1, 2003.
He was born Nov. 21, 1932, in Arcadia and was a lifelong resident of
DeSoto County. He was a
Navy veteran and was a life insurance and investment broker, a cattle rancher, and a citrus grower, as well as a fisherman. He was a member of Arcadia
Elks Lodge 1524. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Arcadia.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Joy I.; daughters Dianne
Carlton and Catherine
Furr, both of Arcadia, and Gail
Harrison of Lakeland; sons Chris of Arcadia and Jeff of Mooresville, N.C.; brothers Clarence P. of
Fort Myers; and 12 grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home in Arcadia. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with burial in
Oak Ridge Cemetery in Arcadia.
