I am looking for information on Jesse James Harper. I found the following in Ancestry's death index and need more infor mation, perhaps an obit or transcription, to see if he fits into my family.
Birth Date: 30 Jul 1905
Death Date: 24 Jan 1978
Place of Death: Brevard Co, FL

If he is the one I am looking for he would have married Ella Elizabeth Bruner Slawter, Forsyth Co., NC 6/12/1953.

Can anyone shed some light for me?

Susan, an obituary for Jesse J. Harper was published in the Florida Today newspaper December 26th, 1978, Page 4B.

JESSE HARPER
Services for Jesse J. Harper, 72, of 1612 S. Elizabeth St., Melbourne, are scheduled for a later date in Winston-Salem, N. C.
A retired Melbourne city employee and Brevard resident for six years, Mr. Harper died Tuesday at the Carnegie Gardens Medi-Center in Melbourne.
Survivors include his son, William HARPER of Melbourne; a daughter, Betty Lancaster of Norfolk, Va.; two brothers and a sister, all living outside the state; and five grandchildren.
No calling hours are scheduled, Brownlie-Maxwell Funeral Home Melbourne, is in charge of local arrangements.
