HELP in Youngstown Area...

I am seeking information on Canna Burnham, Jr. b. 1855 who supposedly died c1925-1930 at Youngstown, Florida. He married Texas Missouri Hawthorn b. 1860 d.1952, Fort Myers, Florida. They had several children including twin daughters Arminda Burnham and Artimissia Burnham b. Jan. 1895. Arminda married Mathew Ellis Nixon (1888-1976) and Artimissia married 1st to Andrew McCrary Nixon (1880-1957) and they had two sons and divorced. She then married Dr. Newton Elmer Coffield (1867-1934).
This family lived at Youngstown, Florida during the 1920s. Canna Burnham died in the 1920s and is supposedly buried there in the Youngstown Cemetery. Artmissia (Burnham) Coffield died there in 1930 and is also buried in that cemetery. Arminda (Burnham) Nixon died between 1920-1930 but I do not know when. I am trying to find anything on these people in the 1920s and am trying to verify exact dates of death.
I have searched for death certificates on all of them and came up empty. I have visited the Youngstown Cemetery and have found no marked graves for any of them or their spouses.I have searched the online editions of the Panama City papers and have only found the obituary of Dr. Coffield (more a detail of the accident rather than an obituary). I visited the courthouse to find any mention of an estate and came up empty. I looked for deed records to see if they bought or sold property during this time, I also found nothing.
Living children and grandchildren have verified the above information as much as possible, but I am not having any more luck. Does anyone have any suggestions for a resource that might shed some light on finding more information on this family? I appreciate any help or advice.
Canna Burnham, Jr. last shows up in the 1920 U.S. Census at Dowling Park, Suwannee County, Florida. He had moved there from Jackson County, where he was born. I checked Jackson County and found some deed records but nothing on estate. I do need to check Suwannee County. I am thinking he and his wife probably moved to Youngstown to be near their family when he was sick. Thank you for any help. Sincerely, Hank Burnham

Their marriage would have been after 1867. Her name was Kizzie Grant Young. I found her in the Washington County, Florida 1885 census. The last name is spelled wrong and looks like Gincy, listed as widowed. I can't find a record of marriage. Their are two girls listed in the marriages, by the last name of Gibney or Givney, named Lee and Kallie or Callie.

No, I'm sorry to say that I don't know anything about the family. What was the time frame of your ggggrands marriage to a Gibney/Givney? I have been unable to find that name in the census for the late 1880's to 1920's in the area I'm searching. Do YOU have any info on them?

Can you give me the exact name that your ancestor is listed as in the 1885 census? Or refer me to the exact page number of the Washington county census where you found her? It's somewhat ironic that there were 2 girls in her household by the names of Kallie and Lee. My grandmother's name was Lee(Ola) and her mother's name was Kallie. My grandmother was born in 1899 and wouldn't have been on the 1885 census. Kallie married John Gibney in 1890, so she wouldn't have been a Gibney in the 1885 census. However, I have been unable to find either of them in the 1900 census. I'm really hoping that the census you are referring to is actually for 1900, and they might be in the household with John Gibney/Givney's mother.

That is definitely my grandfather, who eventually moved to Wewahitchka in Gulf County, FL -- about 20 mi. from Port St. Joe. I don't know about George Dickens, but will ask my mother if she knows.
RAILEY -- FROM HOLMES TO BAY COUNTY

I am looking for any descendants of Joseph Edward Railey (1883-1918); Eli "Dutch" L. Railey (1887-1969) and Charles W. Railey (1895-1957) who live in the Bay County area. Joseph, Dutch and Charles were all born around Holmes or Washington Counties, and their families "migrated" to Bay County. They were all the sons of William C. Raley and Mary Ellen Pitts. William's father was Wilson Lumpkin Raley, Sr., the brother of my gggf, Benjamin M. Raley. Notice that I have spelled the surname both with an "i" and without. Apparently, most of William C. Raley's descendants used the "i" in the last name.

I am happy to share my Raley research (including a pension application from the Indian Wars that includes reference to the correct spelling of the last name) with any of my Railey relatives in Bay County. In return, I hope you will help me "fill in the gaps" in my research of the Bay County Raileys.

I am kin to the Wright's through my Paternal Grandmother mother's line. You will find a lot of Wrights in the census records for Henry Co AL in the 1860's, 1870's, 1880's and 1900's. Henry Co AL covered what is now Henry, Dale, Houston and Geneva Counties. I remember seeing many Eli's and Elias Wrights in the census records I scanned when looking for my relatives. The Geneva County area inparticularly had a lot and that is on the State Line wih Holmes County. Good Luck.

I think you have the other half of my story! I've heard for years that there were two boys who were taken in and didn't have the same names as the family but didn't know who they were or who actually took them in. I've talked to everyone I could think of and all they can say is, yes, there were two boys but didn't know the names. Eli Wright is in my family and the story I've heard was passed down from his great-great granddaughter. Please contact me to verify this.

Carrie

Looking for Great Aunt Bertha Kidwell Gray!!!!!!!

I know that Florida is a large state, but I'm still searching for my great aunt Bertha Kidwell Gray.

I know that Bertha lives with her daughter and family somewhere in Florida. Bertha's parents were Charles and Nora Belle Pennell who were married in Cumberland Maryland in 1904. Bertha had many brothers and sisters including my grandfather Earl Kidwell Sr. Her only living sibling is Leroy, who resides in Ohio.

Before moving to Florida to live with her daughter, she was from Pennsylvania and still has a son living there. Bertha has also gone blind - which I fear is hereditary though irrelevant. Bertha's late husbands name is James Gray.

This is as much information that I can possibly provide. My Kidwell family claims to not know how to contact her. I'm 29 years old and as my oldest living relative, I would love to get the wonderful chance to get to know her before it's too late.

Please reply if you have any information. THANKS!

I am looking for information on Mrs. Mary Ann Hurley who married Bennett T. Sansom of Calhoun Co. Fl 1868 He is my gggraandfather. I've had no luck tracking down who she was. The "Mrs." in front of her name leads me to believe that she was married prior to my gggrandfather, but I'm not sure. I would appreciate any info you have.
e-mail me at bethnorwood7@aol.com
