Hello, This is an extremely old post, but I was surprised to find it when I searched for my father’s name. I am April Denise Parrish (Loughrey), daughter of Bobby Ray Parrish and Ronda Faye Chason (Hinrichs). Joyce, I am not sure who the niece you’ve referenced in your message might be, but I can attest that my father died of a single gunshot wound to the chest. It pierced his heard and he died almost immediately. I know this first hand, as I am the one that found his body. (I was 8). It is my understanding that he did abuse prescription drugs and alcohol, but his death was not directly related to either. My brother, Lehman Scott Parrish lives in Panama City.
