I have a family tree on ancestry.com ("Young") that traces the lines of this family back to the 1700's, both White and African-American. Do a free search using what you know, or try "Thomas Latiker" as a grandfather and "Major Latiker" as his father and you should find the correct tree--I think I have it open to the public.
