Fannie Parker first appeared on the 1900 census as Fannie Thomas. Living on Van Street in SW, Fannie was mother to several girls. Some of the girls' names were, Sarah, Ella, Hazel, Catherine, Mammie and Lucy. On the 1900 census it says that she was mother to more than these six. I have established contact with four descendants from six of the girls but I am looking to find out if any others are out there.
The 1920 census was the last one I found her in. Fannie had taken the last name of Brooks and was living on 1st Street with two of her daughters, Hazel and Mamie, along with their children. Checking in the Boyd's DC City Directories at the Natl Archives, I find Fannie living in this vicinity until approximately 1928.
