These are some names I've seen, but let me caution you...none of these lists are comprehensive. These are selected names that I found on my copies, but my copies are not comprehensive, so you can't presume there is not someone missed on any of the years. What this list does tell me, is that it would be well worth the time to research these tax lists first hand. As you could tell, a few of the names told who there father was; and some of the lists will tell when a Brown died, or possibly moved. I guess any help is better than none, but you surely can't presume that I didn't miss maybe even several Browns in a particular year. Note that Able Brown was noted as beeing deceased in the 1827 tax record. This doesn't necessarily mean he died in 1827, it just means that the last time they took record of taxable people, he was alive, but now he's dead, so they can't collect from him. I got that from the 'delinquent' tax list. These are the years I found:
1824, NWFH.....
John A. Brown "this person....$134.00" (pole tax only, no real property)
1827, NWFH
Able Brown, deceased.
______(maaaaaybe Sophe..to hard to tell) Brown of James
William H Brown
John Brown, 'unknown' (not sure what this means.....maybe where he is at is unknown or whether or not he has moved...not sure)
John Brown, 'unknown' (this is not a missprint...again, this John Brown is listed as 'unknown')
1830, NWFH..
Joseph Brown of James
Thomas Brown of Jno (John or Jonathan)
Edward Brown of Jno (ditto)
John Brown of Thomas
William Brown of Charles
Thomas Brown
Charles Brown (son of James Brown)
James Brown (son of ___unreadable)
Thomas Brown, deceased
Thomas Brown of Thomas
William Brown of Thomas
William Brown of (maybe John)
Sinah Brown wife of Tho (probably above decsd Thomas. The handwritting is a bit tough. It could be 'Jho' for John, but it looks more like a 'T' to me.)
Happy hunting.....
