How can I find more information about my grandparents--Samuel W. and Gertrude (Turner) Dickerson in Delaware? I can locate both in the 1920 and 1930 census and I can locate him as a child in the 1870 census.

Also, I have not been able to find their children in those records, although I can locate my father (Carlton Dickerson) through military records (WWI) and social security death index, etc. I remember seeing a small newspaper article years ago about my father leaving Delaware to join his big brother Harold to work at Horn & Hardart in Philadelphia. I don't know what newspaper it would have been in or what year. But, I vaguely remember some reference to their parents working a farm (or plantation) in Broad Creek Hundreds. How do I find out more detail.

Any suggestions would be helpful.
