Trying to find family of Samuel Rose, born abt 1810 in Connecticut, married Lucy( Sally) A Whipple 1/31/1831 in New London, 1850 US census they are in Stonington, children know are John W(1835), Elizabeth(1837) Samuel E(1841) ,Lucy(1843),Charles Henry(7/11/1844), and Edward L(1852) along with Lucys mother Rebecca( Maynard) Whipple.Census records say he was a sea captian and butcher.

Charles Henry Rose married Nancy Augusta Butler (daughter of Leonard and Nancy(Greenleaf) Butler) in Hartford on Sept 7, 1865, their only child, Charles Frederick( born Mass 1872), is my great-grandfather. Can't find anything on Samuel or his parents. Anyone have anything on this family? I am at a brick wall.
