This is a working file, so there may be some errors:

Does anyone who descends from Enos Jones possibly knows where is will might be located along with his wives Amplias Wadsworth or Prudence Lincoln. Trying to determine which woman is Nathaniel Jones Mother. Most people have him as being Prudence Lincoln's but the time frame is wrong, he was born in 1779, CT and Amplias died in 1785. I believe he may have been very young when his mother died and Prudence raised him as her own. Any help in determining this would be a great help! Nathaniels children are not completely proven.

.....Reverend R. C. Smith, who was unusually well-informed, remembered hearing his grandmother Rhoda Sprague Jones say that Enos had 16 children by the first marriage and 5 by the second, 21 in all. We do not have names and birth dates iof more than 8 and do not know how many lived to reach maturity.
Enos moved from Charlton to Lanesborough in western Mass. in 1768. Joel Jones briefly states that he died 05 Aug 1803 and that he drowned while swimming after sucks that had been shot. He moved from Lanesborough prior to 1790. We do not know whre he died, but believe it was near Castleton, VT., about 15 miles from Whitehall, NY. He was a soldier in the Revolution and his record is given in full in Massachusetts Solsiers and Sailors, Vol. III, p.917.
Described of him in this record was: Age 46 yrs, Stature 5'7", complection light Hair brown, Occupation Laborer, residence Lanesborough. Other information is scanty.
