Collins and Johnstone families in Connecticut and New Jersey

One of my ancestor families was that formed by Thomas Collins and Mary Johnstone in about 1748. I think these folks are among those who had both Connecticutt and New Jersey roots. I would be pleased if you can lead me toward some relevant source materials. wardmaynard@yahoo.com
