Im researching my family line and one that is elusive to me is Cozzens. James Earl Cozzens is my grandmothers father. I have photos of him holding an american flag etc and lots of him at a school but he is always alone and there are no photos or names of any of his family in our things. I'm aware sometimes indian children where sent away to be raised by Christian missionaries... perhaps this was the case? That side of my family was somewhat ashamed of the indian heritage back then so tis been hard to trace. I noticed your Cozzens appears to be Indian as well. Is this a coincidence?
