I have only recently became aware of my family connection to Cyrus Cartwright, thus, I am just getting started researching the new found family. I previously had been stuck at Sluman & Rebecca Cartwright who migrated to WI. Territory in 1837.
At this point, I am trying to find the proof that the Sluman of 1815 who married Betsy Hunter, is a descendant of Cyrus. I have found much information on this Cartwright family, but not a blood relationship. It appears that Lydia Hunter and Betsy Hunter were probably aunt and niece but that only connects the family through marriage. If the Cartwright blood link can be proven, I have been researching the other Sluman Cartwright for 35 years now and have most of the information. Don
