More about Benjamin ALLEY (Sr): served as a private in the French and Indian War, including in the Campaign of 1757 at Fort Edward (formerly called Fort Lyman, Washington Co, NY), Lt Col William Haviland's Command, 27th Reg.; also with Capt Israel Woodward's Expedition against Crown Pt, 6th Co, Apr 8-Nov 28, 1756; Lt Col Nathan Whitings' Co. (of New Haven, CT), Mar 9-Nov 13, 1757; and Capt. Reuben Ferris' Company of Rangers 1757-58, Nov 14-May 14. Does anyone know his parents/lineage? Is he the brother of William of New Haven who married Elizabeth (STACEY? possibly the sister of Benjamin's wife)?
