Hello: I recently purchased a collection of CDV's which were like calling cards in the late 1800's. They were an inexpensive way to get your picture taken and were handed out to friends and relatives. These two pictures show women who appear to be a mother and daughter (based on age difference; each photo is of one woman), and both are identified on the back as "Brochetts" The photos were taken in New Haven Connecticut and going by the 1870 census there was only one family of Brochetts in New Haven at that time. The father was James S Brockett, and his wife was Louisa. The children were Frank, James, Julia, Everett and David and Burton. If you know of anyone from this family, I would like to pass the pictures on to family members if possible.
