Hugh Joseph Hamill, 46 Spencer Avenue, died at his home last evening after a long illness. He was born in New York City, son of the late Hugh and Anne (McShane) Hamill. He came to Waterbury from New York City three years ago. He was a veteran of World War 1.

Surviving are three sisters, Mrs Joseph Slavin, with whom he made his home; Mrs John Murphy, Waterbury; Mrs Thomas Dawson, Hartford; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held Saturday from the Mulville Funeral Home, 270 West Main Street, to the Immaculate Conception Church, time to be announced. Burial will be in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, White Plains, N.Y. Friends may call at the funeral home today from 7 to 10 pm, and tomorrow from 2 to 10 pm.
