I am a descendant of Christopher & Mary Newton. Christopher died on 11-8-1826 in Litchfield County, CT...probably in the Litchfield/Northfield area. I've only been able to find once child of theirs, Isaac W. Newton. Isaac was born in Woodbridge, New Haven Co., CT on 1-16-1782. They moved to Northfield in Dec. 1793 and remained there.

Isaac married Mary "Polly" Curtiss daughter of Daniel & Lois (Sanford) Curtiss on 11-2-1800. They had the following children: Isaac, Ransom (married Lucina Woodward), Lois (married David Turney), George (married Sophia Morse), William (married Mary Leavenworth), Emily (married Henry Woodward) and Mary (married Elijah Woodward.

I would love to hear from any descendants of these families.

Also, there is a house located on 46 Newton Rd., Northfield, CT that was lived in by some of the Newton's. I'm try to find out if the first two owners are related to my Newton line. The last owner believed that the first William and Ralph were related. The owners were:

1968-2001 ALICE HUNNEWELL OSTERMAN
