Classification: Query
Surnames: Anderson, Engstrom
Anders (Andrew) Gustav Anderson and his wife Ida Christina arrived in Hartford from Sweden in the mid to late 1880's.
Their two oldest children Allan (my grandfather) and Nannie were born in Sweden. The rest of the children were born in Hartford. Many years ago, my aunt Elizabeth (aka Betty, Dit) Kilbourn (of Brandford) worked on a family Genealogy for this line. I am using the work she did as a starting point. She left a good generational outline of all the families.
I am the daughter of Elizabeth's sister Ruth Virginia (aka Virginia) and the grandaughter of Allan Anderson and his wife Hilma.
I am looking for cousins who can help me. Many of the cousins in my mother's generation grew up together in Hartford and knew each other. Many of them maintained contact over their lifetimes. My mother kept contact with a number of her cousins. Dit kept contact with many of them.
I am willing to share and compare information, I would also enjoy meeting my second cousins, and their children. I'm not new to genealogy. I've been working on my father's family for the past 10 years, now it's time to work on my mother's. I still live in central Connecticut.
