I found out a lot about my great great grandfather, Edwin Davis, born abt. 1840, Chatham (Portland), CT. I'm still looking for info. regarding my great -great-great -great grandfather, Charles Davis, born abt 1754. I don't have names of his parents or where he was born. Also, I don't have place and date of his death.

He still appears in the 1830 census for Chatham, CT.
His son, Charles, Jr., (1776-1819), is buried in Center Cemetery in Portland, CT.

Charles (1754) married Anna Pelton in 1775. They had 4 children: Buckley, 1775; Charles, 1776, Sarah, 1778; and Anna, 1780. Buckley married Lydia Alvord. Charles married Rebecca Johnson. Sarah married William Pitt Pelton. I don't know who Anna married.

I would appreciate hearing from any descendants of these people.
