I am involved with in restoring the abandoned cemeteries in Easton, there are 4 of them. The name of the town wasn't always Easton. Even the cemeteries names have changed depending on who owned the land or it maybe be referred to as the family who were buried etc/
I have allot of pictures of these cemeteries . I have made a movie about the first phase of restoration and the saga continues...hopefully viewing the progress will bring contributions and it is included when were apply for grant. anyway...The names ring a and there are similar spellings, I remember the name "French" on a headstone. I went nuts trying to find it in the pictures which is why i sent your the link to the names..
There are many unmarked graves...either they were too poor.,.vandals...trees uprooted the stones..many are buried under years of dirt...We have identified about 80% of the unmarked graves by name...process of elimination of town and church records.
If you want to look thru my pictures you are more then welcome...i;m just not sure how ..are you in the CT area? Here is a link to the movie on google if you are interested
