Surnames: PRINDLE LOWDEN LOUDEN MERRITT
I am looking for anyone else who is researching either of these individuals or families.

Copies of divorce papers dating to 1875 report that George Merritt is living in Greenwich. Respondent on the PRINDLE and LOWDEN divorce, (Mary E.), is reported to be living in Middle Patent, NY. Mary's birth date is abt. 1850. Husband was John Augustus LOWDEN. Their three children were named: Elnora Eugenia, Leverett Frederick, and Edna H. Lowden.

I have fruitlessly searched for any information on Mary E. PRINDLE LOWDEN for thirty years. All I know about her is that she was married to John Augustus LOWDEN by Rev. W.H.H. Murray in 1865 and that John divorced her in 1875. Other than that, nothing else. Thanks if any of these names sound familiar to you.

I noticed your querry by the name MERRITT. I have MERRITT Davis in the Beekman Patient in New York. There is much information about them in the volumes of "The Settlers Of the Beekman Patient" by Frank Doherty. It is a long shot but it may help.
Happy Hunting

Hi again. Have you tried contacting the North Castle Historical Society and the North Castle library? You can find their addresses and phone numbers online. Middle Patent in part of North Castle. In fact, Middle Patent Rural Cemetery is still an active cemetery that dates back to the 1700s. I know Prindle was a prominent name in that area of Westchester County.
