Are there any ROEBUCK's out there ????

Mar Ann WRIGHT, a G G Aunt of mine, married Henry ROEBUCK in Sheffield, England in 1855.

It would seem that Henry and Mary Ann, together with their children, John, May Ann, George, Ann Elizabeth and Henry, emigrated to the USA, sometime between 1871 and 1881.

Later entries through Ellis Island give two intesesting listings.

1. Henry ROEBUCK aged 67 yrs. arrive August 02, 1899, on a ship called the Teutonic. He is described as being a US Citizen but his residence is given as Sheffield.

2. John ROEBUCK aged 47 yrs. arrived September 02, 1904, on a ship called the Baltic. He is described as being a US Citizen with his residence as being Burrowles ( Burrow Lees was his residence in Sheffield, England). However, on the ship's Manifest, his adress is said to be Burrowlee R and Bostick Street, Lakeville ( Conn. )
