Administration on estate of Samuel Heusted of Stamford, Conn., was granted 6 Oct 1741 and distribution later ordered to eldest son Nathaniel, Joseph, Zebulon, Elizabeth's children, Sarah and Deborah [Stamford Probate, 1:165, 174]. On 8 June 1751 Samuel Adams and wife Deborah of Fairfield sold to Joseph Husted of Stamford, land originally from Moses Knapp which came to Deborah from estate of her father Samuel Husted [Stamford Deeds, E:390] This corrects the suggestion made ["Families of Old Fairfield", 2:7] that Samuel Adams' wife Deborah was "perhaps Meeker".
