I cannot believe my good fortune in finding your post from 1999, on the RootsWeb Fairfield County, CT message board. I, too, am searching for the ancestors of Frederick and Nellie Smith Donaldson, as I am their g-granddaughter. I do have information on their parents, although slim.

I'd be delighted to share the information I have on them and their parents. I am interested to see why you are researching the same family, especially as I do not recognize the other surnames you've listed. Perhaps by this time you have more information, as I see from the original post that you'd hit dead ends. Very frustrating, I'm sure.
