Hello. I'm not sure this will help, but I am researching a family named Murphy who lived in the Queens area of NY. I don't know a whole lot about the family. I do know that the wife/mother's maiden name was also Murphy.l I do not know the dad/father's name, however. The couple adopted a son who was born on April 13, 1945. The adoption either originated in or took place in Tewksbury, Mass. The boys name was (or became) William James Murphy. There was also a female child who was older that William. Her name was also Mary Murphy. Maybe you can help? Thanks, Vicki
